Van Milligen City Manager From: Tim Horsfield Parking System Superv' Subject: Meter District -Requested Addition Introduction This memo is intended to provide information regarding a request the Parking Division has received to add area to the existing downtown parking meter district. Discussion The current meter district is defined in the Code of Ordinances. I have received a request from a business to expand the meter district to include an area near the business. Dallas Kalmes, DBA! Kalmes Breaktime Bar & Grill, has requested the placement of parking meters on 11~' Street from White Street to Washington Street on the south side only. I have had the opportunity to view the area during business hours, and have observed most of the vehicles parked around the business are long term parkers working in the area. I would estimate that we would be able to place 10-12 two hour meters in the requested area. Action Requested I am requesting your approval and recommendation to the City Council for their review and approval of the attached ordinance amendment 32-321-666.
