7. Narrative Description:
This property is located in the Cathedral Historic District. StyleNear: post-1872, pre-1884, c.1860 small
two-story brick gable front vernacular house. This is a very interesting plan given its size and the lack
of an attic light.
Physical Description: stone foundation, double rowlock window arches, wood sills, right hand side entry
with transom. Rectangular plan 26x16, carport 22x1 O. Stone foundation. Carport concrete slab on
concrete block foundation (1960), replaced porch.
Alterations: carport on west side. Elevated deck on back. Permits note alterations to brick dwelling in
1974 ($1,000), deck 1978, re-roofed and new gutters 1978, carport roof structure replaced 1997.
Landscaping/Setting: parcel drops off to the south, between alley and Bluff, fronts north, driveway to
west side.
8. Narrative Statement of Significance:
Building History: M. Brunworth owned this property when it was sewered May 28,
1899 directory lists M. Hall and Mrs. E. O'Brien at this address.
