Style/Year: 1914-15, Mission, the style is embodied in the battered corner walls, the front porch and the stucco exterior. Physical Description: Two-story stucco side gable rectangular plan (29x36) with two-story south solarium wing (10x20), gable roof centered front dormer, and a centered gable roof front porch. The upper floor is slightly canti-levered in garrison Colonial style fashion and there is a pair of cantilevered single-story orioles (1’6”x8) which flank the entry beneath this overhang (8x12). There is a rear wing (11x13) on the northwest corner. Concrete foundation. 8. Narrative Statement of Significance: Original Owner/Builder: Paul E. and Nellie H. Strelau were the first listed residents, 1915, as 457 Hill. He was a partner in the firm Martin-Strelau. Building History: Builder/ developer Ed Kuehnle advertised a newly remodeled stucco six-room house on Hill close to Langworthy Avenue for sale in 1922. The house had a new furnace, new bath fixtures, new wiring, oak floors on both levels, a large front proch (“good as new”), 60x200 lot with a barn suitable for use as a double garage (Telegraph, April 23, 1922). Paul Strelau here 1918-21. V. A. Langworthy owned the parcel when it was sewered. 9.
