7. Narrative Description:
This property is located in the Langworthy Historic District. StyleNear: c.1897-98, late Queen Anne,
embodied in the turreted corner bay, the rounded stair landing oriole. Colonial Revival embodied in the
porch columns.
Designer/Builder:
Physical Description: Two-story square core (37x30) with hip roof, centered front gabled dormer
(pedimented), west wall dormer, prominent octagonal (northeast) corner tower with turret roof (13x18),
exposed rafter tails, wrap-around porch that has a rounded corner and a west-end porte cochere
(16x14). Stone foundation. Front porch measures 10x22, rear wing 18x16.
Alterations: Fenestration changes on tower, aluminum siding. Permits note re-roofings in 1974, 1986
(flat roof), 1997 (flat roof), 2000 and re-siding in 1975.
Landscaping/Setting: level site and north-facing house, garage in southwest rear corner, driveway is to
the west of the house.
8. Narrative Statement of Significance:
Original Owner/Builder: Fred C. and Adeline S. Robinson were the first listed residents here 1899, he
was a partner in Coates & Robinson.
Building History: John Conzett 1918-21. Assessor gives Donald C. Conzett as original owner, 1914,
purchased for $9,000, owns to post-1955, contract sale to David and Virginia Kapp.
No sewer data found. The house outline is sketched on a c.1895 sewer map but is not labled as to its
owner.
