7. Narrative Description:
This property is located in the Langworthy Historic District. StyleNear: c.1919-20, Assessor, Colonial
Revival, embodied in symmetry, broken pediment, quoins, brick work and porch columns.
Physical Description: Two-story brick veneer side gable plan with rectangular footprint (31x39 with 2x17
offset rear wing), single-story east end solarium (20x11), very shallow centered pavilion (defined by
pilasters in quoin form), broken pediment through cornice dormer, Colonial style flat roof portico with
two sets of paired Corinthian columns. Gable ends feature lunette windows and broken pediments.
Brick quoin effects on corners. Concrete foundation.
Alterations: Permits note re-roofings in 1948, 1981, 1997, side porch roof 1999, adding a rear deck
1982.
Landscaping/Setting: Level lot with south-facing house, driveway to west and garage in northwest
corner.
8. Narrative Statement of Significance:
Original Owner/Builder: Mrs. Pauline Hoefflin, widow of Charles Hoefflin, was the first listed resident,
1921. Ross Hoefflin etal given as original owners (1955 Assessor Card), same own to 1970.
Building History: no 1921 listing. No sewer data found. Franklin and Ruth Klohn buy 1970.
