7. Narrative Description:
This property is located in the West Eleventh Street Historic District. Style/Year: 1925 (Assessor),
Craftsman style foursquare type with unusual corner bracket sets, Craftsman style upper saxh,
classical small porch, front window set on ground floor.
Physical Description: raised concrete foundation, single story hip roof east wing with walkout basement
to south, paired window sets around upper level, hip roof, left hand entry. Square core 24x24, wing
16x10, porch 4x6.
Alterations: porch is post-1950, masonite siding. Permits note a re-roofing in 1998, re-siding 1956, new
4x8 wood porch 1993. Metal awnings since 1986.
Landscaping/Setting: ground level drops to east and north, stone retaining wall defines driveway
leading to east wing, apparent basement garage, fronts south.
8. Narrative Statement of Significance:
Original Owner/Builder: Ris and Anna Reinhart were the first listed residents at this address in 1927.
He was a salesman for F. M. Jaeger Hardware Co.
Building History: George Haywood here 1899-1918, G. V. and A. T. Haywood in 645 in 1921. This
could postdate 1921 and be a single-family house.
Reinhart F. Rise owned the parcel when it was sewered in August 1921.
