house damage
This is a claim for damage to the claimant's home, which allegedly sustained damage during
the construction to remove and replace North Burden last fall.
According to a report by Mike Kocl~ Public Works Director and City Engineer, at the time
of this claim, Tschig~OSde Excavating was under contract with the City of Dubuque to
perform the construction. The contract required the contractor to hold the City harmless
from any and all claims of damage resulting from the work. The claim has been forwarded
to Tschiggfrie Excavating for handling and processing, and therefore should be
administratively closed.

Claim of Armella Meyer
This claim relates to the 2000 PC Concrete Paving Project - No. 2
(Burden/North Burden) that was done by Tschiggfrie Excavating. The
contract called for the standard form of contracts and bonds with the City,
which require the contractor to hold the City harmless from any claims of
damage resulting .from the work.
Therefore, it is the recommendation of the City Engineering Division that this
claim for damages be forwarded to Tschiggfrie Excavating for further
consideration/processing.
