According to a report by Mike Kocl~ Public Works Director and City Engineer, at the time of this claim, Tschig~OSde Excavating was under contract with the City of Dubuque to perform the construction. The contract required the contractor to hold the City harmless from any and all claims of damage resulting from the work. The claim has been forwarded to Tschiggfrie Excavating for handling and processing, and therefore should be administratively closed. Koch, Public WorkS Director~.~ Claim of Armella Meyer This claim relates to the 2000 PC Concrete Paving Project - No. 2 (Burden/North Burden) that was done by Tschiggfrie Excavating. The contract called for the standard form of contracts and bonds with the City, which require the contractor to hold the City harmless from any claims of damage resulting .from the work. Therefore, it is the recommendation of the City Engineering Division that this claim for damages be forwarded to Tschiggfrie Excavating for further consideration/processing. MAK/vjd
