story frame gable front plan with Queen Anne update (side bay, south side).
Physical Description: rectangular plan, right hand entry with transom, straight window arches, projecting
wood sills, porch extends south beyond house side wall, three-sided bay centered on plan, single story

8. Narrative Statement of Significance:
Building History: Patrick Clancy, employed by the freight transfer line, lived at 1155 Bluff in 1881 and
built a double brick dwelling for $2,000 in 1880 (Herald, January 1, 1881). This doesn’t fit this address-
by 1893 he was at 1875 Bluff, also a non-fit. B. Frank Davis built a brick dwelling in 1884 for $1,500—
he owned the B. F. Davis & Co. Confectioners and is addressed as living at 1161 Bluff.
B. F. Davis owned the parcel when the block was sewered. The tap date is September 21, 1921.
1899- J. Plaister at 1157 Bluff.
