Architectural Style And Key Stylistic Elements:
Vernacular two-story brick side gable duplex, exposed purlins, front gable roof front dormer, partial
width centered front hip roof porch, steeply pitched roof, paired attic lights.
Physical Description:
30x32, 12x14 porch, U-plan, stone foundation and water table, 4/4 windows, rowlock arches on sides,
full-width hip roof front porch. Number 204 in north transom
Alterations:
Aluminum siding on dormer, window replacements, square porch posts
No building permits found.
Outbuildings:
Gambrel roof shed, 10x10
Landscaping Notes:
Low terrace, fronts west.

Sewer Records:
1914 sewer record shows Wm. Hintrager as owner of lot 13 of city lot 724
Three candidate building records:
Thompson & Lyon built brick duplex on Cardiff for $3,000 in 1878, this being the only surviving brick
duplex? (Times, Dec. 11, 1878).

William Hintrager builds brick residence at 3 and Cardiff in 1886, and five two-story brick dwellings,
the latter costing $6,000 in 1887 (Herald, January 20, 1886, January 1, 1887).
William Hintrager built 2.5-story brick residence on Cardiff, $2,500 (Times, January 20, 1886).
