Architectural Style And Key Stylistic Elements:
Vernacular two-story brick gable front side hall plan (left, double door, transom, original doors),
pedimented enclosed porch, twin rounded attic lights, rowlock brick arches, round side light
Physical Description:
32x22 core, 27x22 single-story side brick wing with garage, two-story rear frame wing, 7x22, attached
gable front single-car garage, shingle exterior
Alterations:
Asbestos siding on wing, porch replacement, windows reduced on west side wall, likely had tower as
do two houses to the north.

8. Narrative Statement of Significance:
This house can be readily confused with 1860 North Main, its northern neighbor. Sanborn Maps
document the historical address as 1796 North Main. Renumbered to present number 1921
