extending invitation to have the
City Solicitor participate in the
War and Post-War Conference of
the National Institute to be held
in Chicago, Illinois, on December
1, 2, and 3, 1943, presented and read.

ized to attend the conference, the
expenses to be borne by the City of

Local No. 353, Dubuque Fire Fight-
ers Association, at their last month-

Whereas, all probationary fire-
men entered the service of the Du-
buque Fire Department with the in-
tention of making fire fighting their
career, we, as fellow employees,
feel that all such employees, after
serving three mouths of their proba-
tion and tvho are then called into
the service, deserve to be placed ou
a preferred eligible list, for future
reappointment.
Therefore, Be It Resolved, Thai
all probationary firemen who have
served three months on the depart-
ment and who are called into the
service, shall, upon the completion
of their moot training, be placed ou
