Minutes, Civil ServiceCIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION Date: Wednesday, February 28, 2001 Time: 2:00 p.m. Place of Meeting: Conference Room A - City Hall Chairperson Kluesner called the meeting to order at 2:00 p.m. in Conference Room A of City Hall. Present: Chairperson Loras Kluesner, Commissioner Merle Duehr; Commissioner Dick Wertzberger Also Present: Randy Peck, Barry Lindahl, Dan Brown, Scott Neyens, Mike Koch, Gus PsihOyos, Tom Kopp Approve Minutes of February 2. 2001 Wertzberger moved to approve the minutes of February 2, 2001. by Duehr, unanimously approved. Seconded Request to Schedule Promotional Examination for the Position of Assistant Fire Marshall Fire Chief Dan Brown explained that to qualify to take the test, applicants must have one year in grade as a Lieutenant or four years in grade as a Medical Officer. Commissioner Wertzberger moved that the test for Assistant Fire Marshall be given on May 2, 2001, and that the deadline for applications be established as 5:00 p.m., April 11, 2001. Seconded by Duehr, unanimously approved. Establish Passing Point and Certify List for Position of Water Distribution Foreman Duehr moved to establish the passing point at 58 (58.6%) and to certify the list of four for Water Distribution Foreman, and that this list be good for two years. Seconded by Wertzberger, unanimously approved. Request to Schedule Promotional Examination for the Position of Maintenance Worker Duehr moved that the test for the position of Maintenance Worker be a promotional examination and that the list be good for two years; that the test be conducted on April 3, 2001 and that the deadline for applications be 5:00 p.m., March 27, 2001 in the Personnel Office. Seconded by Wertzberger, unanimously approved. Discussion of Commission's Jurisdiction of Tom Kopp Request Wertzberger moved to receive and file the communication from Barry Lindahl, the communications from Tom Kopp, and the communication from Andrea Hoeschen, attorney for the Teamsters Local 421. Seconded by Kluesner, approved unanimously. Duehr moved to postpone the discussion of this agenda item, as requested by Tom Kopp, to a date where all parties are available, Seconded by Wertzberger, unanimously approved.
