Absent: Brian Noonan and Gerry Hess CALL TO ORDER: Kiessling called the meeting to order at 5:06pm May 5�' Meeting Minutes were approved. Motion made by Kiessling, seconded by Drahozal. ACTION ITEMS: Schmechel updated Board on Dubuque County Project(Office Building and New Shop) and discussion was held on the County making an application to the Board to go above and beyond the County stormwater requirements and install permeable pavement and bio- retention cells on the new property. Discussion was held with the Board. The CCWMA will wait and what the total cost is going to be (after it goes to bid)to get an idea of how much money the project is going to be requesting and then analyze other project applications in the watershed. Schmechel updated the Board on Dubuque County Conservation Board (DCCB) streambank restoration projects and sediment control structures. The DCCB is waiting to get bids back on projects before afinal application goes to the CCWMA. 6 Soil Quality Restoration (SQR) projects were approved. Motion was made by Kiessling, Ruden Seconded. (Ryan Peterson abstained from vote). § Meredith Schmechel $2,992.50 § Mike Toedt $1,861.80 § Jim Watters $2,447.63 § Steve Owens $1,812.88 § Richard Tracey $902.50 § Ryan Peterson $1628.10 ITEMS FROM THE PUBLIC: None ITEMS FROM STAFF: Schmechel and Mattoon updated board on NRCS ICP Grant award. The start date has been delayed until August lsr(as of now). If anything changes, Schmechel and Mattoon will update board. Brian Noonan has left the City of Dubuque to pursue farming. Brian is stepping down from the board. Water Resource and Recovery Center director Willie O'Brian is taking Brian's place. The Board welcomed Willie. Mattoon updated the board on the planting and seeding at the South Fork Stream Restoration project. AES will complete the seedingthe first part of June. Mattoon also discussed with the Board the leftover topsoil from the project. Currently, it is stockpiled onsite. Discussion was held on how to use it for SQR and/or monetary CCWMA Board Meeting May 3 2017 donations. Board would like Mattoon to research possibilities with the City of Dubuque and discuss more in July. ADJOURNMENT: Meeting adjourned at 6:25 pm. 2
