The motion passed unanimously. VOTE: DEPARTMENT General manager [HR Cook], introduced new Food and Beverage Manager [Tom REPORTS: Eckermann] to the commission. GM Cook continued to report on the past events financial success and discussed the fact that we are losing concert dates to Cedar Rapids, Quad Cities, or Madison. This is a good sign in the industry, these venues are "fighting" to get the show from us. Director of Finance [Don Howes], Marketing Coordinator [Kelly Spreitzer], and Director of Events and Operations [Shaun Rice] gave reports based on information in Commission packet. PUBLIC No public comment given at meeting. COMMENT: Five Flags Marie Ware reported the following to the commission Renovation / Architect Ken Betch was here meeting with many people for four days and consultant Expansion update: Bill Kruger was here one day. These meetings included City Departments, local contractors, DSO, to get accurate costs for the presentation and the approaching referendum vote. Cook and Ware are in constant communication on the report with Betch and Kruger. This report will be delivered to City Council on December 17, 2018. Commissioner Bakke discussed that he continues to have positive feedback from Dubuque residents. Commissioner Huff asked if there were any surprises in the report so far. Cook reported there were some positive surprises. Commission discussed reviewing the report before it was presented to Council. Commissioner Bakke Motioned the commissioners review the report over email when available, and then meet on Friday 12/14/18 12p-1 p to discuss. Commissioner Daughtry seconded.
