Unanimous. FOUR MOUNDS PARK PRAIRIE, SAVANNA AND FOREST MANAGEMENT PLAN RECOMMENDATION: It was moved by Werner, seconded by Kennicker, to approve the Four Mounds Park Prairie, Savanna and Forest Management Plan recommendation. CITY COUNCIL GOAL SETTING INPUT: The Commission was discussed the current successes and initiatives and determined at the next meeting they will discuss their successes and initiatives for the coming year. The due date is May 8�h and it was agreed to get it done at the April 9�h meeting as there is not another Commission meeting prior to the due date. EB LYONS CENTER STAFFING: EB Lyons Center is currently being staffed with volunteers. The City Council approved funds in the FY 20 city budget with $40,000 to be allocated for staffing and $10,000 for utilities. Partners will be meeting to discuss what the staffing plan will look like to propose back to the City Council. Werner mentioned the possibility of using Loras Biology/Ecology as well as University of Dubuque students but the partnership of DNR is still needed. Tigges mentioned the possibility of fundraising on the behalf of the Friends of Mines of Spain in order to get a larger amount of funds for staff. AmeriCorps was also. The lowa Department of Natural Resources will be an active partner in the partnership. 1 PET FRIEDNLY WORK GROUP UPDATE: Commissioner Kuhle was able to update on the progress so far from the two meetings held. Pet Friendly Committee has started an assessment that will evaluate the city. The first portion getting completed is the Parks section. Park Division Manager, Steve Fehsal and staff are preparing the information to present to the committee. Pet Friendly Committee is currently meeting every two weeks.
