Government Body: CITY OF DUBUQUE CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION

Place of Meeting: City Hall, Conference Room A, 50 W. 13t" St.
Present: Commissioners Phil Baskerville, Dan White
Also present: Randy Peck, Mark Murphy, Maureen Quann, Rich Kapparos
1. Approval of minutes from the April 18, 2019 meeting. Motion by Baskerville to approve the
minutes as submitted. Second by White. Motion carried 2-0.
2. Schedule a hearing on the appeal of Richard Kapparos. Motion by White to set the hearing date for
May 21, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. Second by Baskerville. Assistant City Attorney Maureen Quann and
Personnel Manager Randy Peck advised that if all parties agreed, the hearing date could be moved to
allow time for the appointment of a third commissioner. Mr. Kapparos declined. Motion carried 2-0.
3. Adjournment. Motion by Baskerville to adjourn at 9:42 p.m. Second by White. Motion carried 2-0.
