The purpose of this memo is to forward a request #o proceed with Phase II construction for the ARC �
� Transfer Center project. � � '�

BACKGROUND �
Construction for the ARC Transfer Center began with completion of the cons#ruction of the canopy in ;�;
2012. Phase II consist of an enclosed area that will provide a climate controlled waiting area with (
public restroom facilities and (e.g.) vending machines. The estimate for completing this project is I;
$430,929.
;
The state of lowa awarded the City a grant in the amount of$344,743 covering 80% of the costs ;;
associated with the final design. The City of Dubuque is responsible for$86,185.80. '�

of the Code of Iowa to provide State Transit Infrastructure Grant Assistance to Iowa's public transit systems, and
WHEREAS,the The Jule(City of Dubuque)(hereinafter called the AGENCY)has been duly designated as a public transit
system by local officials, in accordance with Chapter 324A of the Code, and
WHEREAS, the AGENCY has applied for infrastructure funding subject to all provisions of Chapter 924 of the
DEPARTMENT's administrative rules, and
WHEREAS,the Iowa Transportation Commission has approved funding for the AGENCY as described below: �h
