The informational work session would be for City Council discussion and feedback regarding the 2018 Annexation Study Update. The 2018 Annexation Study analyzes potential growth areas for the City of Dubuque and updates the 2006 Annexation Study. The 2018 Annexation Study Update was prepared by the Planning Services Department with input from the City Manager's Office, City Attorney's Office, Budget and Finance Department, Engineering Department, Water Department, Public Works Department, and the GIS Coordinator/Analyst. Van Milligen, City Manager FROM: Teri Goodmann, Assistant City Manager SUBJECT: State of lowa Nutrient Trading Pilot Project DATE: December 27, 2019 The purpose of this memo is to request that a City Council work session be scheduled for the evening of February 10, 2020, at 6:00 p.m. During the work session, City staff, along with representatives from the lowa Department of Natural Resources and the Wisconsin Sand County Foundation, will review the history of joint City/County conservation efforts in the Catfish Creek watershed. City staff and representatives will also describe a proposal to launch lowa's first nutrient trading pilot project in partnership with the IDNR and Sand County Foundation, with the aim of reducing nutrient runoff in the Catfish Creek Watershed.
