This memo is a request for a City Council Work Session on the topic of the Dubuque
Police Department's (DPD) current activities and initiatives around Brain Health. A
presentation will be made by DPD staff and local partners about these initiatives to
include:
• Training
• Jail Diversion
• Crisis Intervention Team (CIT)
• Partnerships.
I would request a Work Session be held on Monday, April 19, 2021 at 5:30pm for a
presentation on Dubuque Police Department Brain Health Initiatives.
