Through the competitive quotation process for public improvements, the Asbury Road
and John F. Kennedy Road Emergency Traffic Signal Repair Project was awarded on
December 21, 2021, to McDermott Excavating, in the bid amount of $78,190.
City Engineer Gus Psihoyos recommends that the award for the Asbury Road and
John F. Kennedy Road Emergency Traffic Signal Repair Project be officially recorded in
the minutes of the City Council.
I concur with the recommendation and respectfully request Mayor and City Council
approval.

Project
The Asbury Road & John F. Kennedy Road Emergency Traffic Signal Repair Project
will provide for the removal of an existing traffic signal base and the installation of a new
foundation, pole and mast arm at the NW corner of Asbury Road and John F. Kennedy
Road intersection. The project also includes the removal and installation of new 8" PCC
pavement and 6" PCC sidewalk, an ADA ramp, an 8" PCC driveway and a new pedestrian
pushbutton foundation and pole.
The following is a summary of the bids received for the Asbury Road & John F. Kennedy
Road Emergency Traffic Signal Repair Project:
