Background The CLG annual report is a form submitted by all Iowa CI -Gs to the State Historical Society of Iowa (SHSI). Under the CLG agreement with the State, the Historic Preservation Commission is responsible for submitting an annual report that summarizes the City of Dubuque's historic preservation work and accomplishments. Discussion City Planning Services Staff and Historic Preservation Commissioners attended numerous trainings throughout the region, which speaks highly of the City of Dubuque's commitment to preservation and sustainability. Part of the reporting process includes presentation of the Commission's annual workplan, which is included for review and approval. Recommendation The report is submitted for the City Council to review and authorize the Mayor to sign. Please have the Mayor sign and date the last page of the report and return it to me. The Historic Preservation Commission completed the Eagle Point Park Phase I Intensive Archaeology Survey, along with a boundary retracement, in order to further plan for ecological restoration and expansion into newly donated lands, with the help of a CLG Grant. The Commission also planned for and undertook an RFP process in order to secure a consultant for Dubuque's Black Heritage Survey. 8.2.
