Approval of minutes from the December 7, 2021 meeting. Motion by Heathcote to approve the minutes as submitted. Second by Baskerville. Motion carried 2-0. 2. Request to schedule an entrance examination for the position of Police Officer. Discussion was held regarding the process for administering practice physical fitness tests. Practice dates have been added and will be held March 26 at 10 a.m. and March 30 at 7 p.m. If the candidate passes the physical fitness test during one of the practice dates, they have the option of using this passing score and would not need to do the physical fitness test before the written test on April 23. Motion by Baskerville to accept the dates for practice physical fitness tests and set the date of the written test for April 23. Second by Heathcote. Commissioner Baskerville to proctor. Motion carried 2-0. Interim Chief of Police, Jeremy Jensen, left the meeting at 4:11 p.m. 3. Request review of Fire Chief Questionnaire. Motion by Baskerville to accept the Fire Chief Questionnaire as submitted. Strategic Workforce Equity Coordinator, Kecia Dougherty, briefly described the recruitment process. Commissioner Heathcote spoke about the questions established and made a suggestion of adding questions related to equity and creative problem solving techniques. Motion by Baskerville to approve the questionnaire as submitted with additional questions to possibly be added. Second by Heathcote. Motion carried 2-0. 4. Certify the list for the position of Chief of Police. Motion by Heathcote to certify and approve the list of ten (10) applicants as recommended. Second by Baskerville. Motion carried 2-0. 5. Adjourn.
