Whereas, the U.S. Department of Housing and
Urban Development requires each entitlement city
to submit a Consolidated Plan for Housing and
Community Development, including the proposed
use of its Community Development Block Grant
funds, at least 45 days prior to its program year;
and
Whereas, the City of Dubuque has, through a
series of public meetings and hearings, finalized a
Consolidated Plan addressing both housing and
non-housing needs in the community; and
Whereas, copies of the draft Consolidated Plan
have been available for public comment 30 days
prior to City Council action; and
Whereas, the City's Community Development
and Housing Commissions recommend adoption of
this plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
DUBUQUE, IOWA:
Section 1. That the City Council adopt a
Consolidated Plan for Housing and Community
Development 1995-2000.
Section 2. That the City Council authorizes the
Mayor to sign the document on behalf of the City
Council.
Section 3. That the City Council directs staff to
file the adopted Consolidated Plan with the U.S.
Department of Housing and Urban Development
by the submission deadline.
