CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF
DUBUQUE, IOWA
Whereas, under date of July 17, 1989, the City
Council, pursuant to Ordinance No. 34-89,
readopted the Code of Ordinances of the City of
Dubuque, Iowa for ordinances adopted up to and
including December 19, 1988; and
Whereas, since December 19, 1988 the City
Council of the City of Dubuque, Iowa has adopted
certain ordinances amending the Code of
Ordinances and said amendments have been
printed as supplements to the Code of Ordinances;
and
Whereas, Section 380.8 of the Code of
Ordinances provides that supplements, by
resolution, become part of the Code of Ordinances.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY

discussion on the condition of the Sageville
Drainage District.
Verbal request from Ellen Hall to address Joint
Board regarding cleaning the Sageville drainage
ditch. Ellen Hall addressed the Board stressing
that there is always standing water in the ditch and
that it has never been cleaned even though the
County has received money to clean the ditches.
Merle Freiburger stressed he had been in this
area 71 years and stated that the ditch has to be
wider than the 3' diameter.
Board Member Smith moved that they contact
Larry Wilson of the DNR and the Army Corps of
Engineers to check into this problem and meet with
them for a possible solution. Seconded by Board
Member Voetberg. Vote on the motion was as
follows: Yeas—Chairperson Duggan, Board
Members Nicholson, Robbins, Voetberg, Waller,
Smith, Manternach. Nays—None.
