From the Meeting March 24, 2022
Present: Pam Mullin, President; Greg Gorton, Vice President; Rosemary Kramer,
Secretary; and Trustees, Robert Armstrong, and Christy Monk
Present virtually: Victor Lieberman
• The Board approved library expenditures.
• At the end of February, expenditures were at 60% and revenue was at 85% of
projections.
• Carnegie -Stout Public Library saw a slight increase in library visitors (+ less than
1.0%) and a slight decrease in computer use (-2.0%) over January 2021.
• Circulation over previous February was down 10%. Over 90% of the decrease is
contributed to a significant decrease in circulation to DVD, Blu-ray and digital
content.
• 132 Curbside visits in February.
• Nearly all in -person library programs were cancelled in February due to COVID-
19. The library still saw a nice number of virtual program attendance.
• In -person programming has resumed in March and staff are excited to have
patrons engaging and learning in the library again.
• The Library Board of Trustees and staff are preparing to engage in strategic
planning this Spring. Consultants from ReThinking Libraries will be assisting
with informational focus groups and data gathering.
