Residential Parking Permit District (RPPD) - Senior High School
Public Works Director Mike Koch states that the recently-created Residential Parking
Permit District E is in conflict with the previously-established two-hour parking zone and
therefore recommends that an ordinance be adopted deleting sections of North
Grandview Avenue and Rosedale Avenue from the current two-hour parking
designation.
I concur with the recommendation and respectfully request Mayor and City Council
approval.

INTRODUCTION
This is a follow-up action that is needed as a result of the City Council's recent
establishment of the new RPPD at Senior High School.
DISCUSSION
The recently-created Residential Parking Permit District E is in conflict with the
previously-established two-hour parking zone, and as such, should be deleted
from the Code of Ordinances. The enclosed ordinance provides for the removal
of the two-hour parking restriction on the south side of North Grandview Avenue
from Avoca Street to the south property line of 1961 North Grandview and from
the south side of Rosedale Avenue from Avoca Street to the alley east of St.
Ambrose Street.
ACTION TO BE TAKEN
The City Council is requested to adopt the attached ordinance deleting the
sections of North Grandview Avenue and Rosedale Avenue from the current two-
hour parking designation.

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 32-362(c) OF THE CODE
OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF DUBUQUE, IOWA,
PROVIDING FOR TWO-HOUR PARKING BY DELETING
CERTAIN PORTIONS OF GRANDVIEW AVENUE AND
ROSEDALE STREET
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF DUBUQUE, IOWA:
Section 1. That the Code of Ordinances of the City of Dubuque, Iowa,
be amended by deleting Grandview Avenue and Rosedale Street from
Subsection (c) of Section 32-262 thereof as follows:
"Sec. 32-262. Prohibited on designated streets or portions thereof."
(c) Time zones designated.
Two Hour Time Zones
Grandview Avenue, North, south side, from Avoca Street to the south
property line of 1961 North Grandview Avenue.
Rosedale Street, south side, from Avoca Street to the alley east of St.
Ambrose Street.
Section 2. This ordinance shall become effective as of August 1,2001.
