UPDATE ON
BUNKER HILL
SNACK BAR
RENOVATION:
UPDATE ON
C.I.P.
PROJECTS:
Leisure Services Manager Gil Spence updated commissioners on the status of
the snack bar renovation: · progress has been made since last month; ·
mudders should be done Thursday; · painting should be done on Friday; · the
flooring people are scheduled to be here Monday; · the request for the beer
and liquor license will be going to City Council on Monday so that when the
snack bar is ready, we will be able to serve beer and liquor dght away; ·
framers are finishing outside but can't complete their job until the roofers are
finished. We hope by the end of next week we can at least use the rest rooms
and the snack bar room; golfers have been understanding. The porch will
have green plastic tables and chairs, not picnic tables.
We needed to have some kind of a figure in order to go after lost concession
revenue, so using last year's figures, Pat found we are losing an average of
about $2.79 per golfer in concession revenue
Leisure Services Manager Gil Spence brought commissioners up to date on
C.I.P. projects: · play equipment will be renovated and new rest rooms put in
by horseshoe courts at Flora Park; · play equipment will be renovated at
Murphy Park; · the two buildings at Comiskey Park are scheduled to be torn
down and replaced with one; · Hillcrest Park is scheduled to be renovated; °
lights on ice rinks will be replaced; · piers at Bergfeld Recreation Area will be
constructed this year; · hope to start planting roses on Highway 20 -- will take
four days (part of Phase 1).
