Library Board of Trustees Update
From the Meeting May, 26 2022
Present: Pam Mullin, President; Greg Gorton, Vice President; Rosemary Kramer,
Secretary; and Trustees, Robert Armstrong, and Christy Monk
Present virtually: Trustee Victor Lieberman
• The Board approved library expenditures.
• At the end of April, expenditures were at 76% and revenue was at 87% of
projections.
• 106 Curbside visits in April.
• Return of in -person programming saw increases in visitors, circulation, and
computer & Wi-Fi use over April 2021.
• The Library celebrated a successful partnership with the Julien Dubuque
International Film Festival, wherein the library gave away over 600 vouchers to
library card holders to be redeemed for tickets to one film during the festival
weekend. Plans to continue the partnership for 2023's festival are underway.
• The Summer Reading Program begins Monday, June 6.
• The Library has implemented a new digital service named Hoopla. This service
will provide library users within the City limits access to a large selection of
digital materials including, eBooks, eAudiobooks, streaming movies, music, and
television shows, and digital graphic novels and comics.
