At the Fountain of Youth, we help people overcome the
largest issue they are facing at the time they are seeking
change. This makes it crucial that we find a way to help
and avoid pushing people through a "cookie -cutter"
approach. Participants must be able to choose their own
goals and want change for themselves so they can be
invested. We give a hand up, not a hand out because we
want to create lasting change.
thefountainofyouthprogram.org
The mission of The Fountain of Youth Program is to
change the mindsets that contribute to generational
poverty through community collaboration, resource
sharing, mindfulness, and education.
TCOMES
We have a participant who has accomplished several goals throughout the course
of the program. He has gained stable employment earning a living wage and he
has purchased a new vehicle to eliminate a transportation barrier. He also
received another raise in pay and has been spending quality time with his son.
Another participant has been maintaining employment and was reunited with her
children. She also recently accepted a job with Hillcrest as a peer support.
Another participant has reached her ultimate goal by reuniting with her daughter
while also learning deal with things that become very difficult.
Each and every person has a goal in mind that they want to accomplish. We are
proud to be a support system for them as they make the tough changes and grow
for the better!

Since being released from Dubuque County Jail this past December I have not only
maintained my sobriety from my meth addiction, but have changed my life and
lifestyle in many healthy and positive ways. First off I would like to thank God and
his grace upon my life, stating without Him in my life none of the changes I have
made would have been possible.
Secondly I would like to thank Caprice and all the staff at the Fountain of Youth for
showing me the necessary steps to change and grow, and for always being a tangible,
living example to me of what is possible if we are to live out our purpose here on
Earth.
Since my release just over 6 months ago I have graduated phase I and 2 of the
Partners in Change program, I have graduated from the Turning Point substance
abuse treatment program, I landed an outstanding union job as a Carpenters
Apprentice for Portzen Construction, I have an apartment, vehicle, and an amazing
relationship with my Family like never before. I am an active member at Faith
Temple United Pennecostal Church where I am an usher and Sunday school teacher,
and my life is better than it has ever been before.
Words cannot describe the gratitude and respect I have for this Program and I
would highly recommend it for ANYONE who is seeking positive change in their life

LMI stands for Low and Moderate Income and is an assistance
grant for small businesses. This is a $3000 grant to be used for
business purposes, and purchases. A few things: You must have
been open for at least 6 months, and filed for taxes in 2021. You are
not eligible for this grant if you have received it before, but 14
applicants will be able to work towards and receive this grant in
2022!
You will work towards honing your skills, talking with mentors, and
taking the time to really dig into the nitty gritty of owning and
operating a business. Industry experts will be there to help you
navigate the process, and you will be able to ask questions,
network, and connect with other business owners in the area.
