Approval of Minutes for April 19, 2022
Mary Gotz motioned to approve the minutes. Lynn Sutton seconded. Motion passed 4-0.

CASE #1 EXTENSION OF TIME
Applicant: Ronald McDonald
Location:;
Appeal: Delay demolition of property
Mike Belmont provided the staff report. Lynn Sutton motioned to approve the extension of time
for demolition of 548 W 7t" St. Mary Gotz seconded. Motion failed 4-0.
CASE 2 INTERPRETATION OF THE CODE
Applicant: TKWJ Estates LLC
Location: 2535 Central Ave #12
Appeal: City precedent of interpretation when tenant is responsible for damages
Mike Belmont provided the staff report. David Lindecker stated his tenant admitted to breaking
the shelf and asked for clarification on how far a tenant can push damages they cause onto the
landlord. Tenant Amilleon Brand showed a video and stated her refrigerator died in March 2022
and a used one was provided. The used one was not clean and while cleaning it broke the
shelf. After further information was provided, Mr. Lindecker withdrew his appeal and said he
would replace the refrigerator.

There was no public input.
Items from the Board
Gil Spence asked for an update on Prehm's Chestnut property as the work had not been
completed. Fie was informed that permits were pulled and the porch is completed and the wall is
nearly complete. There was also a question on the Board's purpose and when a mediation
might happen. The response was a special meeting is being scheduled to refresh the Board on
policies and procedures. Gil Spence also asked for an update on the list of priority category
properties. Ben Pothoff stated he would provide it to the board.

Mary Gotz motioned to adjourn the meeting. Gil Spence seconded. Motion passed 4-0. The
meeting was adjourned at 5:23 pm.
