From the Meeting September, 22 2022
Present: Pam Mullin, President; Andy Bland, Secretary and Trustees, Robert Armstrong,
A. Alanda Gregory, and Christy Monk
• The Board approved library expenditures.
• 96 Curbside visits in August.
• New Digital Materials borrowing application, Hoopla, had more than 750 uses in
August.
• The Library was closed on September 15, to provide professional development to
library staff. Presentations were made by Alex Bubke, representing the City -
provided EAP services, Jeremy Jenson presenting about Self -Awareness, and Dr.
Gail Berger (Northwestern Kellogg School of Management) presenting on
Collaboration and Communication.
• Library Board of Trustees, Library staff, and some community members
participated in a strategic plan retreat on September 19th and 20th in continuation
of a process of building a new strategic plan for the library
• The Carnegie -Stout Public Library Foundation received a $3,000 grant from the
McDonough Foundation to purchase Launchpad Academy STEAM and Literacy
tablets for young learners.
