CITY OF DUBUQUE ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT
REGULAR SESSION
5:30 p.m.

City Council Chambers, Historic Federal Building
Board Members Present: Vice Chairperson Keith Ahlvin, Board Members Bethany
Golombeski and Gwen Kosel.
Board Members Excused: Jonathan McCoy and Matt Mauss
Board Members Unexcused: None
Staff Members Present: Shena Moon and Travis Schrobi
CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order by Vice Chairperson Ahlvin at 5:35
p.m.
MINUTES: Motion by Kosel, seconded by Golombeski, to approve the minutes of the
November 17, 2022 Zoning Board of Adjustment meeting as submitted. Motion carried
by the following vote: Aye — Golombeski, Kosel and Ahlvin; Nay — None.
DOCKET — 44-22 (Tabled from November): Application of Terry Moriston, 2024
Jackson Street to construct an 18' x 10' front deck 1' from the front property line where
10' minimum is required in an R-2A Alternate Two -Family Residential zoning district.
The owner of the property submitted a written request to be tabled to a future meeting.
The Board found the request acceptable.
Motion by Golombeski, seconded by Kosel, to approve the request to table to a future
meeting. Motion carried by the following vote: Aye — Golombeski, Kosel and Ahlvin; Nay
— None.
DOCKET — 47-22: Application of Pablo Ramirez, 1598 Washington Street to install a 6'
high fence in the front yard (along 16t" Street) where 4' high maximum is permitted in the
front yard in an R-2A Alternate Two -Family Residential zoning district.
The owner of the property submitted a written request to be tabled to a future meeting.
The Board found the request acceptable.
