This memorandum requests City Manager approval to move forward with submitting a
letter of support for the International City Manager's Association (ICMA) Solar@Scale
program.
BACKGROUND
Assistant City Manager Cori Burbach forwarded a request from ICMA asking Dubuque
to support their Solar@Scale program. They are collecting pledges from local
governments committing to utilize the program's resources. Other opportunities are
included with our support such as access to workshops on large scale solar projects for
the region at no -cost.
DISCUSSION
This aligns with the City's mission and vision and supports the City's 50% by 2030
greenhouse gas reduction goal. The Solar@Scale guidebook and additional resources
will be useful to the City of Dubuque's Office of Sustainability.
BUDGETIMPACT
There is no budget impact.
REQUESTED ACTION
I respectfully request the City Manager's approval to submit a letter of support to ICMA.
