The City of Dubuque, Iowa has solicited competitive sealed proposals from professional consulting firms to manage a Smart Parking & Mobility Management Plan and Implementation Project. Walker Consultants was awarded the project. Discussion The Smart Parking & Mobility Management Plan and Implementation Project is in the Mapping and Evaluation stage. I am requesting the approval to present updates to the City Council as needed during this project. These updates will include the status of the study and the next steps moving forward. Budget Impact There is no budget impact for this update. RECOMMENDATION It is recommended that a Smart Parking & Mobility Management Plan update be given at the June 5th City Council meeting. SMART PARKING & MOBILITY MANAGEMENT PLAN Parking Equipment Upgrades: Scope (continued) • Phase 3: DevelOD Reauest for PrODOsal(s) (RFP Develop full RFP document(s), including scoring criteria and price proposals. Distribute and advertise RFP(s) for bidding. Receive and evaluate results, select preferred vendor(s). • Phase 4: Construction Contract Administration Review/evaluate drawings ana specs from selected vendor(s). — Observe installation, monitor construction progress. Phase 5: Acceptance Testing Review acceptance testing plan. — Conduct equipment acceptance testing on -site after installation and before equipment goes live.
