MINUTES

Present: Commissioners Scott Crabill, Dan White, Carla Heathcote (attended virtually)
Also present: Director of Human Resources Shelley Stickfort (attended virtually), Fire Chief
Amy Scheller, Strategic Workforce Equity Coordinator Kecia Dougherty (attended virtually).
Commissioner White called the meeting to order at 4:20 p.m.
1. Approval of minutes from the May 10, 2023 meeting. Motion by Crabill to approve the
minutes as submitted. Seconded by Heathcote. Motion carried 3-0.
2. Police and Fire Department Reports. Fire Chief Scheller reported on recent promotions
within the department and provided data on structure fires and cardiac arrests.
3. Certify the list for the position of Police Officer. Motion by Crabill to certify the list for the
position of Police Officer. Seconded by Heathcote. Motion carried 3-0.
4. Public Safety Promotional Processes. Fire Chief Scheller provided a summary of
assessment centers and their role in the promotional process. Motion by Crabill to
approve the recommended process and for the city to search for a firm to conduct the
assessment centers for the promoted positions. Seconded by Heathcote. Motion carried
3-0.
5. Adjournment. Motion by Crabill to adjourn at 4:41 p.m. Seconded by Heathcote. Motion
carried 3-0.
