Aerial Fireworks displays require the approval of City Council prior to permit issuance. BACKGROUND A permit application has been received for a fireworks display on September 12, 2023 at approximately 9:00 p.m. The fireworks display will be held on the Riverwalk between the Star Brewery and the Grand River Center. The applicant has submitted all required documentation including a certificate of liability insurance and qualification of the pyrotechnics operator. The applicant will reserve the Mississippi Riverwalk and the Amphitheater for the event.
