GoToMeeting Chat Input Submitted on Action Item No. 4Adrienne Breitfelder From: Sent: To: Subject: Dan Simon to Everyone Speed cameras Randy Gehl Monday, November 20, 2023 8:17 PM Adrienne Breitfelder Public Input from Virtual Meeting 7:30 PM Dan Simon to Everyone My name is Daniel Simon 3519 Eclipse Circle Dubuque 7:32 PM Me to Everyone Thank you. . 7:48 PM Dan Simon to Everyone My first point is why would you not put this to vote on a referendum or similar agenda to the school tax for all taxpayers to decide versus seven people on a city council ? Let the citizens decide . If that is a problem then my question is which one of you used this on your platform to run for your seat ?Secondly if it is not a money grab then donate the money to a worthy cause voted on by the public . Thirdly who has access to the information retrieved from this process of speed enforcement ? What security breaches have they had in the past... is the information sold? Who is held accountable for security breaches. Fourth do we have enough speed limit signs up to notify of speed on streets... I can personally say that there are sections of roadways that you can drive blocks without seeing a speed limit sign . Lastly is how will this affect tourist who visit our town? Nothing like getting home and receiving a ticket and saying " Come visit Dubuque " again!
