Re: Resignation from Environmental Stewardship Advisory Commission
Dear Ms Corrigan:
This letter is to inform you of my resignation from the above commission. I appreciate
the opportunity to serve the city of Dubuque in this capacity for the last four years. I am
also grateful to have served alongside a number of outstanding commission members as
well as dedicated city staff.
My major reason for leaving the commission at this juncture is too many competing
commitments both at work and at home. However, a secondary reason is a pathetic lack
of respect shown members of this commission--as well as city staff, the news media, and
the public--by the current mayor, Mr. Terry Dugan. Given the voluntary nature of
commission appointments, this lack of respect is a clear disincentive to serve.
Sincerely,
W'~am L. Niemann: Ph.D.

Re: Application_on web site
I-Ii Karen,
I hope you had a "good" get-array!
I did find and dowaload the application for the ESAC. I filled it out,
however due to scheduling conflicts, I will be unable to attend flae Oct
meeting and as of now, Nov and Dec are questionable.
Carrently, I feel I should postpone submitting my application for
re-appo'mlment until I foresee being able to firmly COrem{t, as is necessary
to be an effective commlasion member.
It has be~a an honor and privledge to briefly serve on the Dabuqne
Enviroamental Stewardship Advisory Commlqsion. I sincerely hope
circumstances will allow me to in "good faith" reapply and be considered
again in thc near future.
Kindest Regards,
Mark lrlennln §
