CASE #: 03-00273 321 E 22NE ST DUBUQUE, IA 52001 MOTION: TOM SWIFT SECOND: ED SWIFT THE FINDINGS OF THE BOARD WERE: Gary and Susan Bay, owners of 321 E 22nd Street, requested an extension of time until September 12, 2003 to repair the sunken rear porch exterior steps and verify if the rear porch still leaks. The rear porch roof was repaired and they are waiting for it to rain to see if it leaks. The tenants say it still leaks. The owners requested an extension of time until August 27, 2003 at the August 19, 2003 Appeals Board meeting. The extension of time was granted at this meeting. On the new Appeal, the owner states the contracted work was rescheduled. The original inspection date was May 7, 2003. This is a Section 8 Annual inspection. TOM SWIFT MOTIONED TO GRANT THE EXTENSION OF TIME UNTIL SEPTEMBER 30, 2003, THE REQUESTED EXTENSION OF TIME, SEPTEMBER 12, 2003, WAS PAST DUE BEFORE THE SEPTEMBER 16, 2003 APPEALS BOARD MEETING. On the new Appeal, the owner states this is a big job and it is for a garage, which the tenant cannot use. The owners requested an extension of time until Au~st 21, 2003 at the July 15, 2003 Appeals Board meeting. The extension of time was granted at this meeting. There is a living room window with a large crack that needs to be replaced. A common hall smoke alarm has to be relocated higher on the wall. There are soffits and fascia area to be repaired and painted on both sides of the building. The interior repairs are to be done for 326 W Locust Street #3, which is a Seciton 8 A~nual inspection. The inspection for 326 W Locust Street #1 is a Section 8 Initial inspection. Secure the north exterior electrical conduit, electrical boxes and cable boxes. Secure the front exterior light. The house, garage and shed are deficient siding. Finish new sofffit, fascia, gutters, siding, and scrape and paint all windows. The original inspection date was August 18, 2003. This is a Section 8 Annual inspecton. The bedroom west window is deficient a screen. The bedroom light is hanging by the wires. Cut the weeds in the yard. INCONCLUSIVE: The basement was not accessible for the inspector. The inspection date was June 12, 2003. This is a Section 8 Annual inspection.
