A permit application has been received for a pyrotechnics display at the Static X performance taking place at the Five Flags Center on May 17, 2024. All required documents have been submitted including a certificate of liability, a site plan, types and quantities of pyrotechnics, a safety plan, and the operator's qualifications and experience. The Five Flags center has agreed to pay overtime for firefighters to standby during the performance. Upon receipt of such application for the pyrotechnics display, the AHJ should make or initiate an investigation of the site of the proposed display in order to determine compliance with regulations in the case of the particular display. Range of sparks is tuned to 15' or less (Shown above as 2 circles). We are using "indoor" rated -powder for the effect. (titanium alloy) Support techs will be in the wings approx 25' away. Operator will be at FOH approx 90' away and in radio contact will support. We have two CO2 fire extinguishers, one on either side of the stage. The effect is use at the top of the performance during the intro and fires for 60 seconds max. Performer stands behind the effect (4' upstage) at center stage, the effect reveals the performer. No band, equipment, fans or crew with be within 25' of effect fire range.
