SPECIAL SESSION
The Dubuque City Council met in special session at 5:15 p.m. on May 29, 2024, in the
second -floor Council Chambers of the Historic Feder/al Building, 350�W. 6th Street.
Present: Mayor Cava agh; Council Members Farber, Jos, Resnick, Rou's ell, Sprank,
Weth�a1; City Manager V n Milligen, City Attorn Brumwell.
Absent:
Mayor Cavanagh read the call and stated this is a special session of the City Council
called for the purpose of setting a public hearing for the 2024 pavement marking project and
holding a public hearing for the PRICE Grant Application.
ITEMS SET FOR PUBLIC HEARING
1.2024 Pavement Marking Project: Initiate Public Bidding Process and Setting Date for
Public Hearing
City Manager recommending City Council authorize initiating the public bidding process
and set a public hearing on June 3, 2024, and to approve the plans, specifications, form of
contract, and estimated cost of $247,500 for the 2024 Pavement Marking Project through
the adoption of the attached resolution.
RESOLUTION 2024 Pavement Marking Project: preliminary approval of plans,
specifications, form of contract, and estimated cost; setting date of public hearing on
plans, specifications, form of contract, and estimated cost; and ordering the advertisement
for bids

1. Hold Public Hearing for the PRICE Grant Application
Proof of publication on notice of public hearing to consider City Council hold a public
hearing on May 29th, 2024, following a 15-day public comment period, to solicit input on
the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) PRICE grant application
due July 10, 2024, and City Manager recommending approval.
RESOLUTION Holding a public hearing to solicit public input and City Council approval for
the City of Dubuque PRICE Grant Application to be submitted to the U.S. Department of
Housing and Urban Development by July 10, 2024
