The City of Dubuque served the owner notice to remove the structure and work commenced at the end of April. DISCUSSION On June 6th, an order was issued to resume demolition activities on the site. That order required completion of demolition and stabilization of the remaining building, relocation of debris, and replacing the fencing to secure the site by June 21. The demolition contractor indicated that he would be mobilizing the site and resuming demolition activities on June 21 st. As of this time demolition activities have not resumed. The demolition contractor has indicated that he has not received approval from the property owner to continue. Staff issued a municipal infraction to the property owner on June 26th and June 27th for failure to comply with demolition orders. RECOMMENDATION This memo is for information only.
