Approval of minutes from the June 12, 2024 meeting. Motion by Heathcote to approve the minutes as submitted. Seconded by Crabill. Motion carried 3-0. 2. Fire and Police Department Reports. Police Chief Jensen provided information on staffing/new hire/promotion statuses, and on -going testing with the next test date in the Fall. Fire Chief Scheller spoke on promotions made, a Fall test date for the Firefighter/Paramedic/EMT position, the new process for Fire promotions and the addition of the new ladder truck. 3. Budget discussion for Fire Department promotional process. Motion by Crabill to approve City staff next steps to secure appropriate funding to move to an assessment center for fire promotional testing process. There was a brief discussion about budget/funding for assessment centers and how often testing takes place, the testing agency vendor and the appeal process when a test is completed.
