AIRPORT COMMISSION MINUTES Commissioner Blocker moved to approve the minutes of the March 26, 2024, meeting, and Commissioner Brotherton seconded the motion. This motion passed unanimously. OLD BUSINESS 01. REVIEW AIRPORT STATISTICS Director Dalsing mentioned that aircraft operations will be impacted when Taxiway A will be closed for several days this summer for construction. NEW BUSINESS ACTION ITEMS 02. RELOCATE TAXIWAY A PHASE 3 PLANS & SPECS RESOLUTION Commissioner Kurtz Weber made a motion to accept Resolution No. A600-1-2024 Preliminary Approval of Plans, Specifications, Form of Contract and Estimated Cost; Setting Date of Public Hearing on Plans, Specifications, Form of Contract and Estimated Cost; and ordering the Advertisement for Bids for Relocate Taxiway A Phase 3, Construction Phase 2 (West Section) Project. Commissioner Clemenson seconded the motion. This motion passed unanimously. This project will continue construction of a multi -year effort to reconstruct Taxiway A that serves as a parallel taxiway to Runway 13/31 and is adjacent to the general aviation apron. 03. HONOR FLIGHT LANDING FEES RESOLUTION Commissioner Brotherton made a motion to accept Resolution No. A700-1-2024 Authorizing Waiving of Landing Fees for Honor Flight of Dubuque and the Tri-States Sun Country Airlines Charter. Commissioner Kurtz Weber seconded the motion. This motion passed unanimously. Honor Flight of Dubuque and the Tri-States is a non-profit organization created solely to honor veterans living in northeast Iowa, southwest Wisconsin, and northwest Illinois. They transport our heroes to Washington DC to visit and reflect on their memorials. DISCUSSION 04. AIRPORT PROJECTS UPDATE July 3rd air show and fireworks will be held again with the Golden Knights jumping seven times between July 1st and 4th. DBQ is scheduled to host NATA again this year. The Commemorative Air Force and FIFI will be here July 25 — 29th. The author of "Red Tail", about Captain Robert L. Martin, will be here for a book signing as well as other groups such as EAA, Civil Air Patrol and Honor Flight during the FIFI event. The terminal solar project has resumed construction. The City of Dubuque Student Life Program was at the Airport on April 16th with over 50 students from Hempstead and Senior High Schools. City Life will be at the Airport on April 23ra 05. CORRESPONDENCE RECEIVED SINCE MARCH 26, 2024, COMMISSION MEETING None. NEXT COMMISSION MEETING The next scheduled Commission meeting tentative date is June 6, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. Commissioner Blocker moved to adjourn the meeting and the motion was seconded by Commissioner Clemenson.
