Office of Shared Prosperity and Neighborhood Support Director Anderson Sainci is
recommending City Council approval to sign the letter of interest for The Community
Foundation of Greater Dubuque (CFGD) and TH Media for the Press Forward
Infrastructure grant.
Press Forward is a coalition of funders committed to revitalizing local news across the
country. The CFGD and TH Media have included multiple higher educational institutions
and the Office of Shared Prosperity and Neighborhood Support (OSPNS) in their grant
proposal to experiment with different content, formats and platforms to meet the local
news and information needs for underserved population.
I concur with the recommendation and respectfully request Mayor and City Council
approval.

DISCUSSION
The Community Foundation of Greater Dubuque (CFGD) and TH Media is seeking a
letter of interest for the Press Forward Infrastructure grant. Press Forward is a coalition
of funders committed to revitalizing local news across the country.
The CFGD and TH Media have included multiple higher educational institutions and the
Office of Shared Prosperity and Neighborhood Support (OSPNS) in their grant proposal
to experiment with different content, formats and platforms to meet the local news and
