"Contact Us" inquiry from City of Dubuque website
Message: Hello Mayor Cavanagh and Dubuque City Council members,
I am writing to introduce myself as an applicant for the Catfish Creek Watershed Management Authority. Thank you for
reading, and apologies for the lateness of this note!
In November of last year, I began a term on the Resilient Community Advisory Commission and have been appreciating the
cross -disciplinary collaboration I experience there. As you know, one form this takes is a requirement that three members sit
on other City commissions, CCWMA being one of them. This is one reason I have applied.
In addition, from 2017 to 2021,1 represented Dubuque County on the CCWMA, serving as the chair from 2019 to 2021.1
greatly enjoyed my time there, using my skills and expertise related to land management and collaboration. I learned a great
deal not only about the details and functioning of this board, but also about inter -municipal collaboration and watershed
management specifically.
I hope to once again offer my understanding and background to the CCWMA, and continue fostering growth and development,
both between these two commissions and throughout the Dubuque community.
Thank you for your consideration!
