GOVERNOR November 22, 2019 Mayor Roy Buol City of Dubuque 50 West 13th Street Dubuque, Iowa 52001 Dear Mayor Buol, I am very pleased to write that the State Historic Preservation Office, Department of Cultural Affairs will be funding Dubuque's Certified Local Government (CLG) grant for an archaeological survey. Congratulations! For this project, we have obligated Historic Preservation Funds, as authorized by the National Historic Preservation Act and subsequent amendments. The minimum non- federal matching share required will be 40% of the total project cost. The project must be administered in accordance with all applicable regulations and procedures governing Historic Preservation Fund grants and the terms of the contract. We are in the process of finalizing contract language. Once the language has been approved, I will write your contract and forward it to you for signature. Once the contract is ratified, the commission can start work on this project. Meanwhile, the Department of Cultural Affairs will send out a press release on these awards. We ask that you not disseminate this news until we forward our press release. If you have questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at (515) 281-6826 or by e- mail at paula.mohr@iowa.gov.
