Alanda Gregory, Vice President; and Trustees, Greg Gorton, Diann Guns, Christy Monk, and Pam Mullin • The Board approved library expenditures. • The Library is excited that Rebecca Leifker has accepted the Circulation Manager role. Rebecca has been with the library since 2013 and has been in the Lead Library Assistant role within Circulation since 2021. • January 25 was National Seed Swap day. We partnered with Nine Square Feet out of Des Moines to host a seed swap party. Several local organizations showed support in staffing tables including Convivium, Wile Ones, Herb Society, and the Master Gardeners. About 150 people showed up to the event. • Youth Staff member Bailey Keimig-Gehrke was appointed Chair of the Youth Services subdivision for the Iowa Library Association. • Youth Services Manager Danielle Day presented a book weeding workshop to para-educators from the staff that work in the libraries of the Dubuque Community School District buildings. • MakerSpace visits are up 20% over last fiscal year-to-date numbers. Based on continual growth, this space will be given considerable attention during first phase library service upgrade plans. • The Board of Trustees offered input on the library's annual budget presentation to City Council.
