Alanda Gregory, Vice President; Andy Bland, Secretary; and Trustees, Diann Guns, Christy Monk, and Pam Mullin • The Board approved library expenditures. • The Board of Trustees celebrated an excellent Dubuque County Reads 2025. The author visit from Stephanie Foo (author of "What My Bones Know") was a well - attended event, informational and engaging. • Art @ your Library for June/July 2025 will feature artists from the Key City Creative Center. Works Cassie Beadle, Sandra Beisker, Gail Chavenelle, Brian Graham, Rich Lammer, David Olsen, Paul Pendola, Kurt Stierman, and Susan Tollefson will be on display through July 25. A First Friday opening reception will take place on June 6, 2025 from 5:30-7:30, with accompanying music provided by JazzQ. • Brad Wilkening presented "Lessons on the Holocaust, which had a very nice turnout and received several complements on the presentation. • Volunteers from John Deere helped replace mulch as part of the 2025 Days of Caring volunteer program. • The Summer Reading Program kicks off June 2, with many wonderful programs and activities planned for all ages. • Maggie Turza has accepted the Outreach and Communications Coordinator position for the library. Maggie is busy planning library presence at community celebrations such as National Night Out, Dubuque Pride, as well as planning a volunteer appreciation event for library volunteers.
