Neighborhood Associations 0
Better together! 0 0
Neighborhood associations are groups of neighbors who come
together to make their community a better place to live. Whether it's improving
amenities, organizing events, or taking action on local issues, these associations
create a sense of connection and collaboration.
Join an Existing Association: View the neighborhood associations map to find
and contact your local association.
Start a New Association: If your neighborhood doesn't have one yet, fill out the
interest form and let us help you get started. City staff will provide guidance
and support.
The map, interest form, and more is available at cityofdubuque.org/neighorhoods
For questions, call 563-690-6054.
City Boards & Commissions
Help guide the future of our community.
Boards and commissions play an important role in city government. Service on a
board or commission is an excellent way for residents to get involved in the
community and contribute to the future of Dubuque. Boards and commissions serve
mostly in an advisory capacity, but some also hear appeals, provide expertise,
advocate, receive public concerns, or establish, review and enforce policies and
regulations. Board and commission members:
• Serve as the voice of the residents
• Assist in the development of policy recommendations to the City Council
• Provide positive support to City staff
• Promote the City and its programs

DBQ Shovel Crew
Help neighbors in need this winter!
Consider signing up now to volunteer with the DBQ
Shovel Crew this winter! The program pairs volunteers
with residents who are physically and financially unable
to remove snow and ice from the city sidewalk adjacent to
their property, and do not have other resources to clear it
such as neighbors, friends, or a hired service.
The commitment is to care for a particular address, or addresses, throughout the
winter season. If possible, volunteers are asked to provide their own snow -removal
equipment. Sign up to volunteer at cityofdubuque.org/snowassistance or call
563-589-4159.
